Sacred: Eslura's Calling is the first novel in the Sacred series by Margaret Beeler, writing as M.C. Beeler. It was published on 24 June 2021.
Synopsis
Beatrice Tidal, an orphaned girl sent to summer camp by her foster guardians, runs into the woods to escape a bully and passes through a cave portal into Eslura, taking her camp counsellor Reagan Hideaway with her. A five-fold symbol appears on her wrist, marking her as the new Sacred Head.
What she arrives into is a crisis already underway. The Heart has been torn from the Book of Fire, and the usurper Obellius Kalaar is moving to take back the throne he was imprisoned for.
